²³ At the ^(A)beginning of your supplications the word was issued, so I have come to tell you, for you are ^[a](B)highly esteemed; so understand the message and gain ^(C)understanding in what has appeared.

Seventy Weeks and the Messiah

²⁴ “Seventy ^[b](D)weeks have been determined for your people and for your holy city, to ^[c]finish the transgression, to ^[d]make an end of sin, to ^(E)make atonement for iniquity, to bring in ^(F)everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and ^[e]prophecy, and to anoint the Holy of Holies. ²⁵ So you are to know and have insight that from the going out of a ^[f](G)word to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until ^[g](H)Messiah the ^(I)Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be restored and rebuilt, with ^[h]plaza and moat, even in times of distress.
